We partnered with Morgan and Danielle Impola, owners of Up with the Sun Cottage, to create a website that reflects the peaceful charm and natural beauty of their Lake Superior vacation rental. Our team provided a full visual and digital package: custom website design, professional interior and exterior photography, and cinematic aerial videography to showcase the atmosphere and surroundings of the property.
The Challenge
Up with the Sun Cottage was a brand-new vacation rental on the shores of Lake Superior, and the owners were starting from scratch with their online presence. They had already worked with a designer to create a soft, nature-inspired logo and were looking for a website that would seamlessly match that aesthetic. Their goal was to attract guests by capturing the peaceful, welcoming vibe of the cottage—without the site feeling overly commercial or templated. They also needed professional visuals to give the listing a polished, trustworthy first impression.
The Solution
We designed a custom website that echoed the style and color palette of their new logo, while also highlighting the calming character of the cottage itself. From subtle animations to clean layouts and lake-inspired tones, every detail was crafted to align with the brand. To bring it all to life, we captured fresh interior, exterior, and drone imagery that showcases the property’s quiet charm and stunning lakeside setting. The Photos
Our visual approach focused on capturing the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere of the cottage and its incredible Lake Superior backdrop. We photographed the interior with natural light to highlight the cozy, minimalist design, and used drone video to showcase the cottage’s stunning location on Big Traverse Bay. The final imagery blends warmth and serenity—giving guests a true sense of place before they even arrive.
